TheBoss94 Retains his N1 Spot and Roland Garros Title.

Against all odds Boss beat the World N2 and N3 to win his second Major.

With the tournament underway the pressure was on Boss to keep his N1 spot as well to prove his Major last year wasn't just a fluke. He easily cruised to the Semis without dropping a set with his most challenging match being against Former Finalist and top 10 player C4 in which he beat 6-3 6-4 6-2.

The surprise from the top draw was Fez who had in the previous round beaten Top 10 player Don 6-0 6-0 4-6 6-4 succumb to Milutki who showed a great level, making a mark on the tour of what could be on hold in the future with a 4 set win 6-4 6-4 6-7 7-6 reaching his first Major QF. He faced Filas in what was a highly contested match, with the scoreline being deceiving as Filas had to pull out all the stops to get the win in straight sets.

Pablo cruised his way through to the QF, where he faced henrijames, who put up a fight taking a set off the N2 seed but couldnt sustain his level and lost 6-1 4-6 6-1 6-2. Kenos was hoping to break his QF curse by reaching his First Semis in a Major and he once again reached the QF but couldnt break the deadlock losing to MichaelD 6-1 6-4 6-2 in what was the biggest upset of the tournament.

In the SF two of the favourites to win the title squared off, with Filas most recent win in Madrid he was considered as the favourite and without dropping a set the whole way it seemed like he would reach his first RG final. He started off strong winning the first set but ended up losing the next 3 sets when he couldnt match TheBoss94 level throughout the match.

Pablo locked horns with MichaelD who had knocked out one of the favourite the round before and came in with full confidence in his abilities, started off strong dictating play before, Pablo was able to grab control of the match moving his opponent and being the agressor. MichaelD tried to get the FH into play more often, but UE kept creeping in and lost in 3 sets.

With the N1 spot up for grabs TheBoss94 and Pablo had a chance to secure that coveted spot, Pablo started off strong despite some nerves breaking Boss in all his services games bagelling him on the first set. The same happened at the second set with Pablo breaking early but couldnt keep his concetration levels up and got broken instantly, with the Italian levels up he was able to seal the second set 6-4 breaking Pablo Again.

Third set proved to be vital as Pablo who had lost his concetration had chances to break early on but wasnt able to break, losing the following 5 games on the trot to concede an easy set. The fourth set was more of the same, with Pablo hoping Boss would make an error and stepping further and further behind the baseline, the N1 seen this as a chance to control the points, and had the N2 on the run for most of the match. Being the agressor proved to be the key as the Italian was able to in control to seal the match with a 0-6 6-4 6-1 6-2 win.

With this win TheBoss94 joins a limited Club of multiple GS winners as well as cementing himself as one of the best players to play the game.
